BANCON 2011

Greetings from Indian Overseas Bank, one of the top seven nationalised banks of India, currently celebrating its Platinum Jubilee with the message, ‘Touching hearts and Spreading smiles’!

The annual Indian Bankers' Conference (BANCON), has emerged as the Blue Riband event of Indian banking conclaves, where the best of Indian minds meet every year to react, review, reform and rethink on a wide range of banking and related developments. BANCON brings together players, policy makers and regulators on a common platform for two days of stimulating discussions, deliberations and interactions. The side events add their own value to the meet.

Indian Overseas Bank, jointly with Indian Banks’ Association, will be organizing BANCON 2011 on October 17-18, 2011 at Radisson Resort Temple Bay at the historical and heritage beach resort of Mahabalipuram near Chennai.  The Conference will be inaugurated on October 16th (Sunday) afternoon, by the Union Finance Minister, Shri. Pranab Mukherjee.

BANCON 2011, coming as it does on the eve of the 12th Five Year Plan will have, most appropriately, the main theme as, ‘Competing in the Defining Decade for Indian Banking’.
