Government of India, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises have been giving “National Awards for Excellence in MSE Lending” every year from 2001-02 onwards. 

Indian Overseas Bank has secured the First Prize based on its outstanding performance in MSE lending during the year 2010-11. 

H.E. the President of India handed over the prestigious award to  Mr M. Narendra, Chairman & Managing Director, Indian Overseas Bank, in the presence of Shri Virbhadra Singh, Hon’ble Minister of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, in a grand function held in Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi on 2^nd September 2011.
